OUR SUMMER WORKSHOP SERIES - WORKSHOP NO. 2

Saturday July 31 - Kathleen Pate's FIBER ART Workshop at the East Bank Gallery Annex. From 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Bring your own lunch and lots of enthusiasm and curiosity.

Here is a note from Judy and Bob Horne:

We hope you'll watch the first episode of "The Gates" tonight (Sunday) on ABC at 9pm Shreveport time.  Watch for Bob & I and our paintings, photos and glassware during the scenes that take place at the Harvest Festival, both during the day and at night.  Other local artists were there, too:  Susan & Bill Breeland, Su Stella and NeeCee Blackwell.  Unless we all ended up on the cutting room floor, we hope you catch a glimpse of our TV debut!

Bob & I will also be part of the charity art auction scenes in episode 6, which should air on July 25.  If you watch other episodes of the show, keep an eye out for Bob's iris photos in the doctor's office.

What a great May meeting! Our demo by LaTonia Barto on "How to Photograph Your Art Work" was a total success. We had so many questions and she was very patient with us. The ATC exchange was fun as usual and hopefully will continue to be a part of our meetings. Don't forget your summer assignments: 

• design your own name tag 
• get your creative juices flowing for our Fall Show - more details on that as they become available
• new logo design by current members - prospectus available soon
